This course prepares students to take the food sanitation manager's license ServSafe exam in one day. Students will participate in class and take the exam on the same day. This one-day course is fast-paced and recommended, but not required, for students seeking renewal of their ServSafe Manager Protection License. Emphasis will be on current food handling information including time/temperature requirements for cooking, cooling and refrigeration, hand contact with ready-to-eat foods, consumer advisories, cross-contamination, cleaning and sanitizing, HACCP, and problems associated with food borne outbreaks. The exam scan sheet is included in the cost of the class. This program qualifies for funding by the Non-credit Strategies at Work Grant from the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB).
